Blessed to Build : Design and Decor Inspiration

For those of you who know me, you understand just how much I love interior design, intriguing decor and do-it-yourself projects. Textiles, furniture, color, architecture, placement, symmetry, flow, hardware, form and function excite me tremendously! This page is dedicated to all of the design ideas and plans I hope to create in our new home. Of course, the husband is less than engaged when it comes to this because it usually means more money and more work for him...but in the end, he's always pleased.

Creative wall moulding adds interest and livens up the entryway!

Decorative stair runner in black and white is sure to be a show stopper! We chose the lighter of the dark hardwoods and the grey carpet will be in all bedrooms and family room.

This fabulous Ming Burn chair will have a special place in our new home...just not sure where exactly!

We found this china/storage cabinet at an estate sale on Capitol Hill in Wash DC. With a little polishing and reviving it she is sure to be a beautiful addition to the new home. Any suggestions on how best to restore? I'm thinking about repainting in a brighter yellow with green accents!
